What Internal or External Hemorrhoid Symptoms Do You Have?

Do you feel a pain in your anal region when you crap? Find out if you are having hemorrhoid symptoms. Are your symptoms associated with internal or external hemorrhoid symptoms?

Different hemorrhoid symptoms may be manifested through itching or bleeding and every kind must be dealt with appropriately. It is of prime importance to know and understand that internal hemorrhoid symptoms and external hemorrhoid symptoms differ to a great extent that the necessity to address them separately is a must.

The External Hemorrhoids

Difficulty in moving the bowels and pain in the rectal section are external hemorrhoid symptoms resulting from the blockage in the area. Often this painful situation may give rise to clotting of blood under the skin and formation of lumps. This lumped condition under the skin is called a thrombosed condition and therefore also known as thrombosed hemorrhoids.

Occasionally you may experience the same condition if you try too hard pushing your rigid stools out, and this can cause bleeding. This bleeding is rare and uncommon, but it may happen. It is common in internal hemorrhoid cases, but otherwise rare.

What are Internal Hemorrhoids

Finding blood in your stool can be a first sign of internal hemorrhoid. The blood in the stool is due to rectal bleeding which is a frequent symptom. When you find out fresh, bright red blood in your stool, you have yourself examined to find out the cause of the bleeding. Anemia can occur due to this condition, however it does not happen usually.

Internal hemorrhoids manifests symptoms other than rectal bleeding alone, and thus it is important to know other signs as well. Hence, it is more than wise to visit your doctor so that proper evaluation is done.

Itching as a form of irritation will affect you severely when you are suffering from this condition. It happens because the hemorrhoids seep mucous that are toxins to the anal skin. Itching results from the irritation of the anal lining. There is often nothing you can do about the itching in your anus and around it.

Skin irritation is another common hemorrhoid symptom aside from anal itching. A person with internal hemorrhoid often has skin irritation in the back and on the buttocks. Internal hemorrhoids give rise to acne-like irritation. The mucus secretion in the anus causes the irritation and itching on the nearby skin. Mucus may ooze from hemorrhoids that are huge enough to stick out of the anal opening resulting to irritation of nearby skin tissue.

Often, sitting down causes excruciating pain which is one of the hemorrhoid symptoms. There is also a frequent urge to defecate. The feeling of fullness in the rectal region is due to the presence and pressure of hemorrhoids. Even just after coming out of the toilet, you still feel as if you are about to pass stools.

Pain relieving medication in form of creams or capsules can be used to ease pain which is an acute hemorrhoid symptom.
